The Chloe Duyck Memorial Fund
According to the American Heart Association, nearly twice as many children die from congenital heart disease in the United States each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined. Yet, funding for pediatric cancer research is 5 times higher than for congenital heart disease.
After much research and consideration, we felt compelled to try and help others by setting up a fund in which 100% of the proceeds are guaranteed to be put towards research initiatives in the area of pediatric congenital heart disease. We are in great hopes that through research, less babies will die from congenital heart defects.
At this time, 1 out of every 100 babies born have some sort of congenital heart defect. This means approximately 35,000 babies every year are born with a cardiac anomaly in the United States. Heart defects are the most common form of birth defect with at least 35 different CHDs being identified.
In order to establish a fund in Chloe's name, we have teamed up with the Cardiopulmonary Research Science and Technology Institute, a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt with all necessary information for tax purposes once your donation has been received.
